Have you ever looked out across a river or a lake, taking in the wonder and the beauty-while also feeling the frustration of knowing how close you are to the other side? Bridges, as we all know, can move you from one place to the other, from this riverbank to that one or from this lake edge to the other. By and large, however, bridges serve automobiles, their roads painted clearly to signal their purpose, the dotted lines leaving no doubt that they are for cars, trucks, and motorcycles, not for pedestrians. Our CEO found himself reflecting on this while he was vacationing in Italy. There, he spotted a majestic part of the city, not far as the bird flies but more than an hour away by car, bus, or ferry, which were his only options. What could we do? How could we solve this problems?

Introducing CrossWater:

On-demand, cheap, fast, safe & green rapid transit.

The innovation that we have devised is simple. It’s called CrossWater. Think of it as a horizontal elevator, moving people across bodies of water rather than from one vertical platform to the next. This is a new piece of technology that solves a real problem people have encountered since time immemorial. Anywhere that there is a CrossWater, people will be able to travel by foot as easily as they could travel by automobile via a bridge.
CrossWater taxis will;
  • Decongest roads
  • Increase utilization of inland waterways
  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Make point to point travel very cheap, safe and accessible on-demand
The future of transport is autonomous Mobility-as-a-Service. CrossWater autonomous taxi platform will make point to point travel cheaper, faster, more convenient, and even safer
This is the convenient and smart solution to cross-water travel. Working via autopilot, it controls itself for safe and fast transportation across water on-demand. You stand in place, the same way that you would stand in an elevator, and CrossWater takes care of the rest. Fully electric, it runs on sustainable energy (always charging through the solar panels in the roof) without emitting any unpleasant noises or vibrations.

It’s Fast and Comfortable!

CrossWater is not only slightly faster than bridges: it is up to 10X faster. Whereas it may take 10 to 15 minutes to cross a lake via a regular bridge, you can cross the same lake in only 1 or 2 minutes. Imagine all that time you are going to save!
Whatever the season, you can count on a swift and temperate ride. The automatic climate control built into CrossWater keeps riders warm in the winter and cool in the summer, another feature that is conspicuously absent on bridges, which become sweat havens in the warmer months and frozen tundras in the colder ones.

It’s Safe Too!

Waterproof, CrossWater presents minimal risk of drowning too, preventing the types of accidents that are shockingly common on boats, floats, and rafts. When there is an accident, though, CrossWater AI switches into emergency mode, automatically generating more oxygen to protect passengers and rapidly transporting them back to the nearest bank. The AI that operates CrossWater negates the risk of human error, which is the cause of the vast majority of fatal accidents on the water.

It’s accessible on-demand

CrossWater Is a Community-Builder

For governments and communities, CrossWater is a sensible idea not only because of its convenience but also because of what it can do on a large scale. The way that we see it, there are three key areas in which CrossWater helps build better communities: creating jobs, defending the environment, and improving the quality of life. From the moment that we break ground on CrossWater, we are creating new jobs, the construction leading to fresh employment opportunities that would not exist otherwise. Once CrossWater is up and running, it will facilitate higher levels of movement within the area, which will support faster economic growth. Job creation, therefore, is constant in places where CrossWater operates.

Self-driving Network Of 1 Million CrossWater Taxis by 2025

At the same time, CrossWater is fostering a more rapid transition to sustainable energy. Because the system runs on solar power harvested through the roof, it cancels out CO2 emissions that trucks, trains, and boats would otherwise create. This is a net-positive in the fight against climate change. Overall, the quality of life increases wherever we establish CrossWater. From reducing commute times to combating pollution to creating more time for families, this system is positive for communities in a variety of ways. Government leaders and institutional investors should consider all these points, in addition to the more obvious value of CrossWater, when deciding whether or not to integrate the system into their lakes and rivers.

    This is a big idea!

  2. Madeline

Will the maintenance cost of the water taxi beat that of bridges?

    • Cross Water (verified owner)

Definitely yes, because they’re 100% electric, they’re very cheap to maintain. The maintenance cost of a fleet of CrossWater taxis is a fraction of what it cost to maintain a footbridge.

  3. Sureshkumar

Incase automative lose the control ,we can able to drive the taxi in manual control

    • CrossWater Technologies (verified owner)

Each pod comes with a manual override feature that lets a human driver take over control if and when the need arises.

  4. Joseph Greer

Can it operate in rainy or snow or windy weather?

    • CrossWater Technologies (verified owner)

      Yes, It absolutely can.

  5. Stephen Russell

Mass produce, ideal for these locales: Hawaii, So CA, Med Sea, Greece, Asia, So America, IE USA: Newport Beach CA, Miami FL, New Orleans, Boston, NYC,

    1. Clever idea. Design something that floats on water to get across. I got an idea on what to call it. Let’s call it a “Boat”. Surprised no one’s though of this before.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t there already a floating thing on water used to transport people like a boat… called a “ferry” ? And haven’t they been in use for millennia ?

    2. And how is this supposed to “cancel” wind, waves and current ? Compensate for, adjust for, correct for …perhaps, but “cancel” – as in eliminate? – I think not.

    3. Exactly where is this to be used ? Specifically, location by name…not in general. Where there are there sufficient numbers of pedestrians walking at both sides of the water to make this a feasible idea ? Not driving up and parking and then floating cross … but being pedestrians on both sides who will arrive and be able to continue walking or connect to other personal transport ?
    k.k.

    • CrossWater Technologies (verified owner)

Cancellation in this context means to correct for, compensate for or adjust for.

CrossWater is designed to be a personal luxury water taxi you can access on-demand for. It will operate 24/7 on both short haul routes as shown in our video and long haul routes(Video coming soon) up to 400 miles.

Hope it’s a little clearer now.

Up to 15 riders can fit in our Governor Series.

Once the capsule notices oncoming boat traffic, it will temporarily stop and wait for the traffic to pass before heading for the destination if the traffic is small. However, if the boat traffic is larger, the capsule will take a less direct route by driving around the oncoming vessel/traffic to save time and get commuters to their destination faster.

Start/stop and open/close doors will be disabled while the capsule is in motion. It will only function while the capsule is docked at the station.

In areas of high traffic, a fleet of fast high capacity pods will ensure commuters can get a ride on-demand and get to their destination in time.
